10soldiers in Age of Empires 4 is equivalent to 80-160 soldiers in total war. Soldiers fight in group with clear formation and never individual duel. With the exception of some game (Total war three kingdom, Warhammer and Troy) in which you have hero units that is single lone unit with devastating stats that can handdle comparable to 100-300 men.

Itseems more and more players are finding out which is the better game. Recent reviews are currently also better for AoE3DE (89% positive) compared to AoE4 (83%). It seems more and more players are finding out which is the better game. But personally i like AOE 3 better, just DE was a cash grab that killed the game.

The Age of Empires series is generally less realistic than Stronghold, because it follows more the traditional RTS style (build base -> build units -> defeat enemy). Units don't have morale or anything like that, and they also do not need upkeep in any way.
Thisway, a person could invite a couple of friends for a LAN party, the game could be installed on their PC, but only allows local multiplayer (no single or xbox play). I guess most people will be able to afford the $20 these days however. What about say 2 players on the same network playing with 2 other players on another network? Like other
