The main difference between USB and aux in car audio is that USB connections are designed to offload the processing of audio data to the head unit. Bluetooth/Voicecontrol with USB, Ipod and bluetooth Audio support is officially called the Ford Sound & Connect system. The Ford Sound & Connect system can only be combined with the original MK2.5 Sony radio's and Travelpilot FX and NX sat nav radio's. The 6000 CD does only support Bluetooth/Voicecontrol and no Sound & Connect.

I don't use navigation all that often and I don't have the factory navigation but have used Google Maps before and it would give directions through the stereo, cutting off the music temporarily in the car. But it has suddenly stopped working and now the directions are only audible through the speaker on the phone.
3 posts · Joined 2014. #4 · Sep 21, 2015. I did have my mic stop working in my 14 S. Rebooted phone, turned radio off and on, and did a factory reset and it still didn't work. I pulled all fuses in the interior fuse box relating to sync and audio (10 and 24) while the engine was off, and it worked again after that. If you have Bluetooth For Calls And Audio (or want to find out if you have it) connect your phone to the cars bluetooth and press the 'Aux' button on the dashboard. This will cycle through the different audio options (eg: The Aux input, USB if you have it and Bluetooth if you have audio). If the bluetooth option doesn't display then you only obnMY.
