5.7 V-8 HELP!!!! Engine Misfire, Been Chasing forever!! P302. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.7 V-8 with 102,000 miles. I just had the lifters, camshaft, and valves replaced after the lifter gave out on Cylinder 2. Before that I had the spark plugs changed as mechanic did not think it was the lifters at the time.

B. Big Daddy 1 · #9 · Mar 12, 2023. My 5.7 l Hemi is in a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. It started running in limp mode a few days ago and I took it to the local auto parts store.They ran a scan on it. The scan showed it has a bad MDS solenoid and it has a miss in one of the cylinders.

#1 · Jan 30, 2016 Has anyone out there had major engine problems with the 5.7 Hemi? I just forked over about $2000 to fix my 5.7. It showed itself as a cylinder 3 misfire code and a bad miss and vibration. Turned out to be a bad lifter that wore the cam lobe for #3 almost flat.
Just bought a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 Hemi 64000 miles. They day I drove it home really bad vibration through out the entire jeep from front to back steering wheel shook as well. The vibration is more of like driving over rumble strips. But it only happens between 60-65mph. One or two MPH over/under smooth as silk.
Also 05 5.7 Magnum modded the same as Jeep and, Recently Sold, 06 300CSRT8, Comp. Cam, 85 mm TB, HP tuned engine/trans, Foose custom wheels. Replaced with 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid with 1020 hp and 1050 lb. ft. of torque, 9.30 at 148 mph quarter mile in Plaid Mode. Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear of your problem.

The 5.7L Hemi is a great engine. It paired with the 545RFE transmission and you will be on the road for quite some time. I have 120k miles on mine and have had no engine problems whatsoever. Vary rarely do we see any problems with these engines here on the forums. 2010 JKU - Stock for now.
