The fresh air flowing into the vehicle through the air inlet housing passes through a pollen filter which is located on the left-hand side of the climate control housing (LHD and RHD) and removes pollen and dust particles measuring 0.003 mm or more. The pollen filter must be changed at intervals in accordance with the service schedule.

Replace with a new filter if heavily contaminated. Check air filter box for debris.With the fuse box to one side you then remove the 3 small bolts/screws that hold the pollen filter cover on. This is right at the back of the heater matrix. The pollen filter then pulls out. Check which way the airflow arrow on top of the filter is set and put new filter in in same direction. Removed glove box, changed pollen filter. Reseated all connectors I could find under there (hoping one is the evaporator sensor one forum post mentioned as a possible cause).
